New Balance reveals Liverpool FC 2018-2019 away kit

New Balance have officially revealed the new 2018-19 Liverpool Football Club away kit.

The Deep Violet design will be used as an alternate to the traditional red home strip and sees a return to the colour which last featured for the club in the 2012-13 season’s third kit.

Liverpool’s £75m club-record signing, Virgil van Dijk, said, “As a player the most important thing is how the shirt feels and performs.

“This kit gives us confidence to play to the best of our ability away from home.

“We have the best travelling support in football and I’m excited to run out in front of our fans wearing this strip.”

The kit has been launched as part of the new LFC campaign for 2018-19, “This Means More” which encapsulates the feelings all LFC fans around the world share when they pull on the shirt.

The kit has been engineered using innovative NB DRY technology. The Jersey wicks moisture away from the skin to help keep players fresh and dry from first to final whistle.

The away kit adopts the same jacquard linear graphic to the front body of the home shirt, reflecting the architecture of Anfield’s new Main Stand.

A contrasting Deep Plum blocks the back panel, and sleeves, with Alpha Orange branding bringing out key detail throughout the kit. The jersey also features top shoulder bonded tape, embroidered crest and a crew neck collar with insert.

To commemorate the tragic events of Hillsborough, the 96 emblem, encased by the eternal flames sits at the nape of the neck.

The Deep Plum shorts complete the look, featuring a concealed stretch fabric insert which also runs down the side seam of the shirt. the tonal hoop socks feature an elasticated ankle zone and rib Achilles region with cushioned protection.

An additional cushioned heel zone and vented cushioned footbed and toe section have been designed to help players play with power, comfort and extra support.

The goalkeeper away shirt has been engineered in line with the outfield players’ jerseys and is a bold Vivid Cactus with Black pattered sleeves and Black embroidered logo and crest. The kit is completed with Vivid Cactus shorts and socks, with a Black cuff to the lower sock.
