Newcastle face opposition from the likes of West Ham United and Everton for the defender’s signature and at £10 million he’s not exactly cheap, but a 22 year-old with Premier League experience who has impressed while on loan in the North East at Middlesbrough could be an ideal fit for Rafa Benitez and his St James’s revolution.
