Newcastle have made a disappointing start to the season, but things have started to look up recently – aside from another derby defeat to Sunderland – as the Toon have taken seven points from a possible 12.

That run started with a thrilling 6-2 win against Norwich at St James’ Park, as United’s front four turned on the quality.

Wijnaldum scored four of Newcastle’s six goals against Norwich.

The star of the show was, undoubtedly, their summer signing – Georginio Wijnaldum, who scored an incredible four goals from midfield, with Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez also notching.

Steve McClaren will need more performances like that from his attackers if the Tyneside outfit are to stay away from trouble this term.
