Newcastle United are now six points from safety with seven matches of the Premier League season left to play, and their form in March certainly won’t lead supporters to believe that they will beat the drop.

Aside from a home draw against arch-rivals Sunderland, the Magpies lost their three other fixtures during the month, leaving them in danger of dropping down into the Championship.

While a number of the team have been accused of a lack of fight, one player that you can’t really throw that accusation at is Mitrovic.

The 21-year-old has been one of the few players to show some passion in recent matches, none more so than when he rose to head home Georginio Wijnaldum’s cross to help his club pick up a point against the Black Cats.

Who knows, it could prove to be a vital goal come the end of the campaign.
