Struggling Norwich City host Aston Villa at Carrow Road in the Premier League, aware that they could drop into the relegation zone if they fail to defeat the league’s bottom side.
The Canaries have won just two of their last 10 games in the league, and are being kept out of the bottom-three by courtesy of goal difference.
Their last outing saw a 3-0 defeat at White Hart Lane against Tottenham Hotspur; former loan man Harry Kane finding the net twice.
At Carrow Road, Alex Neil’s side have only won two of their eight outings, something which will need to improve if they are to survive.
Their visitors still have not won since their victory at Bournemouth on the opening day of the season – a run which stretches back almost five months.
The Midlands outfit have drawn their last two outings 1-1; at St. James’ Park against fellow strugglers Newcastle United and at home to West Ham United.
Nine points from safety, relegation looks an inevitability, with manager Remi Garde admitting the Villans, who have won their last four against Norwich, need to take three points in at least 10 of their remaining 20 games to have a chance of survival.
Wes Hoolahan and Gary O’Neil should return to the starting XI after sitting out the Boxing Day defeat at Spurs.
Winger Matt Jarvis, whose loan move from West Ham United was made permanent in a £2.5 million deal earlier in the week, is sidelined with a knee injury.
Andre Wisdom is expected to be fit despite having struggled with a hamstring problem.
For Villa, Carlos Sanchez was forced off against West Ham with a hamstring strain and is out, but captain Micah Richards could return from a knee injury.
