Name: Jonny Howson
Position: Midfielder

Howson has looked more assured in the Premier League this term.

It’s always hard picking a player from a newly-promoted side who’s improved from last season, purely because they are now playing at a higher level.

However, we think midfielder Jonny Howson has, more often than not, upped his standards this term, especially when compared to the last time he was in the top-flight.

Throughout 2014/15, the 27-year-old did actually score nine Championship goals in what was a another consistent showing from the ex-Leeds man.

But it’s fair to say that he was outshone in the middle of the park by Bradley Johnson, who scored 19 times and was seen as the main danger man.

When the Canaries sold Johnson to Derby County in the summer a lot of responsibility shifted to Howson who, with three goals and 19 key passes in England’s elite division, is doing a decent job for Alex Neil alongside Alex Tettey and Gary O’Neil.
