Name: Nathan Redmond
Norwich City are currently staring bleakly down the barrel of a loaded gun – eight defeats in their last nine Premier League outings have seen the Canaries plummet into the English top-flight’s bottom three and become in severe threat of immediately returning to the Championship come May.
In terms of the club’s top goalscorer this season, it is anyone’s guess! Winger Nathan Redmond currently leads the way with five strikes, although midfielders Wes Hoolahan and Alexander Tettey, plus striker Dieumerci Mbokani, are all just one behind the former England Under-21 international with four goals to their names.
However we predict Redmond to pick up this imaginary gong, mainly because it looks continually unlikely that Alex Neil’s side will score a flurry of goals until the end of the current campaign.
With fixtures against Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton still to come; Redmond’s tally of five goals won’t need much adding to if he is to stay afloat at the top of the goalscoring charts considering Norwich’s free-fall in form.
However his consolation goal against defending league champions Chelsea last week shows he is still an attacking threat for the lowly Canaries.
