Norwich City’s highlight of the Premier League season so far…..

There is a great story behind Norwich’s best moment in the Premier League this season, and it involves their captain, Russell Martin.

The Canaries were due to face Liverpool at Anfield on a Sunday in September, but it turned out to be a busy day for the Scot, as his wife went into labour on the Saturday night, meaning he had to drive back to Norfolk.

Martin shows signs of tiredness at Anfield!

The skipper’s baby boy was born at 9:30am on the Sunday morning, and Martin then flew up to Merseyside to appear for his team later that afternoon, despite having no sleep.

Amazingly, the new dad’s amazing day was to get even better after he scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw, meaning Alex Neil’s men returned down south with a share of the spoils.
