Norwich close to capturing 18-year-old League Two starlet

Norwich City are reportedly set to capture League Two starlet Ben Godfrey, according to HITC Sport.

The Premier League side; who currently sit five points above the relegation zone, have been scouting the highly-rated York City midfielder throughout the 2015-16 campaign, although they had an opening offer for the player knocked back last month.

Godfrey, who celebrates his 18th birthday today, has scored one goal in 15 appearances in all competitions for the Minstermen this season.

Godfrey, who was also attracting interest from Championship club Derby County, is due to undergo a medical at Carrow Road shortly.
