Norwich City are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Tunisia defender Yohan Benalouane, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Premier League side, who currently sit just two points above the relegation zone after losing a nine-goal thriller 5-4 against Liverpool on Saturday, are willing to take the Leicester City centre-half on loan.

The 28-year-old; who is a former France Under-21 international, has been restricted to just four league appearances for the Foxes this season, playing 64 minutes.

Benalouane, who joined Claudio Ranieri’s side from Atlanta last summer for a reported €8m, is also attracting interest from Serie A sides Fiorentina and Sampdoria.

However the report suggests Norwich could win the race for the Tunisian’s services as Alex Neil’s side are willing to match Leicester’s €1m loan fee.
