Ole Gunnar Solskajer reveals what position Ronaldo will play, when speaking to the Evening Standard.

The Portuguese superstar returning to Old Trafford certainly is the story of the summer and United fans will be excited to see their hero take to the field.

It’s widely known that the five-time Ballon D’or winner is not the same type of player he was when he left Manchester in 2009, so what can United expect from the 36-year-old?

Solskjaer was a team mate of Ronaldo in his first stint at United.

Solskjaer has spoken out about the acquisition of his former team mate.

He said: “Cristiano he’s evolved as a player, he used to play wide right, wide left, up front, he’s more of a centre forward for me at the moment, definitely,” Solskjaer told reporters on Sunday.

“But there will be games where we play with two up front, three up front. I want him in the box, I want him scoring goals.

“We’ve always been watching Cristiano, that one day he would move and we would be interested.

“We never thought that he was going to leave Juventus this season, when he did we had to speak to him of course.”

His first performance back could come against Newcastle United following the international break. And it will be a game that will peak the interest of many football fans, as one of the world’s greatest ever players return to the Premier League.
