Chelsea youngster Faustino Anjorin has joined Championship side Huddersfield Town on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Englishman had been recalled from a relatively unsuccessful loan spell with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow on Sunday, and he will now move to Yorkshire to join the Terriers.

Anjorin will also reunite with Chelsea under-21 teammate Levi Colwill, who has been impressive while on loan at Huddersfield so far this term.

Anjorin made his Premier League debut against Everton in March 2020

The 22-year-old, who only made nine appearances in Russia, made his senior debut for the Blues during a Carabao Cup third round tie in September 2019, but has since made just four appearances for the club.

He has been prolific for the Blues’ youth sides, however, scoring 32 goals in 49 games for the under-18s and under-23s.

Anjorin is a versatile midfielder who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder, however he has also been deployed on the left wing, in central midfield, and even as a centre forward.

Chelsea are expected to have a quiet deadline day in terms of arrivals, with their pursuit of a left-back earlier in the window having failed to materialise.
