One player Arsenal could sign on Deadline Day

Despite manager Arsene Wenger’s innocence that Arsenal will be inactive during transfer deadline day, the Gunners have been heavily linked with a last-ditch move for the in-form Riyad Mahrez.

The Algeria international; who only joined Leicester City from French outfit Le Havre last January, has already scored four goals in as many Premier League appearances so far this season for the Foxes, making the 24-year-old the top flight’s highest goalscorer alongside Swansea City’s Bafetimbi Gomis.

Having only brought in Czech Republic international goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea earlier this summer, boss Wenger could still pull off a late deal for the Leicester star as Arsenal seek to lift the Premier League trophy aloft for the first time since 2004.
