One player Liverpool could sign on Deadline Day

Although this seems an unlikely deal, Brendan Rodgers would probably like to bring in a winger now Lazar Markovic has been allowed to leave on a season-long loan to Fenerbahce.

The Reds have been linked with Russia international Denis Cheryshev for some time and were thought to be close to sealing a deal for the 24-year-old earlier in the window.

Nothing materialised but with Markovic now moving out the Anfield side could make a late swoop for a player who has failed to make an appearance in La Liga for Madrid since graduating from the club’s youth academy in 2012, spending the last two years on loan at Sevilla and Villarreal respectively.
