Out-of-favour Nottingham Forest striker Lars Veldwijk reportedly looks set to leave the club in the summer, according to the Nottingham Post.

The 24-year-old signed for the east Midlands outfit from Excelsior back in 2014 in a deal worth up to £1million, but after failing to impress at the City Ground, was loaned out to another Dutch club, PEC Zwolle, for the current campaign, and the Netherlands outfit are keen to keep the attacker at the end of the season.

He is Zwolle’s top goalscorer this term with 13 goals in 31 appearances, and got his move to England two years ago after scoring 30 goals in 38 matches, however he was soon frozen out by then Forest boss, Dougie Freedman.

Veldwijk, who has admitted that he is keen to stay in his homeland over the course of the close season, has made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Reds, but is yet to get on the scoresheet.
