Crystal Palace are planning a double deal for Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy.

According to a report in The Sun Sam Allardyce is looking to bring both of the Manchester City defenders to Selhurst Park to bring experience and a winning mentality to the club.

Sagna and Clichy are both out of contract and available as free agents.

Although they are both separate entities the similarities between the two players are striking with Allardyce hoping that the pull of playing in London will be significant for the former Arsenal duo.

Palace had a difficult time of it during the January transfer window but are looking to move early during the summer after securing their place in the Premier League.

After the turmoil of switching from Alan Pardew to Allardyce Palace are looking for some stability with the arrival of two highly experienced full-backs able to provide that even if they come on a hefty wage packet.
