Crystal Palace manager has ruled out any move to bring Chelsea legend Frank Lampard back to the Premier League at Selhurst Park.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s clash with Pep Guardiola’s Man City, the former West Ham and Southampton boss, who met with Lampard and New York City FC owners over the summer, said:
“He’s looking for new avenues now [after leaving NYCFC], we didn’t discuss that being here by the way.”
The former Blues midfielder, who scored over 200 goals in his time at Stamford Bridge, moved to the MLS in 2015 after a year on-loan at Man City from the newly formed American club.
The ex-England international announced earlier this week that he would be leaving NYCFC, but made no comment about where his next move would be.
His announcement comes in the same week that former Liverpool and England legend, Steven Gerrard declared that he would be leaving MLS rivals LA Galaxy, with his future also up in the air.
