It seems Manchester United face stiff competition in the form of Paris Saint-Germain to sign Argentina international Mauro Icardi this summer, according to Sport Mediaset (via The Daily Star).
The 13-time Premier League champions, who currently sit fifth in the standings respectively after their surprising 2-1 defeat at lowly Sunderland last weekend, have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan forward in the previous summer and January transfer windows.
The 22-year-old, who made his international debut against Uruguay back in October 2013, has scored an impressive ten goals in 22 league appearances for the Serie A giants so far this season.
Icardi; who is predominantly a centre forward, is now also attracting interest from defending Ligue 1 champions PSG, with the reports suggesting a £35m bid is on the table this summer.
The Argentine ace has found the back of the net 46 times in 94 first-team appearances for Inter since arriving at the San Siro from Italian rivals Sampdoria back in 2013.
