Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham know that only victory will suffice from their trip to Monaco on Tuesday if they want to remain in the Champions League.

Spurs have won just one of their opening four group matches and face Leonardo Jardim’s men this week hoping to avenge their 2-1 defeat to the French side back in September.

Tottenham’s tally of four points sees them third in Group E and, with second place Bayer Leverkusen hosting bottom side CSKA Moscow on Tuesday, Pochettino knows that a win is must for his side to stand any chance of qualification.

However, they will go into the game in high spirits after their comeback victory over West Ham on Saturday. Harry Kane’s late brace sealed a fine 3-2 win for the hosts at White Hart Lane, a result that preserves their unbeaten start to the league season, and puts them just four points behind leaders Chelsea.

For all the promise Spurs have shown in the league this season, they have been very poor in Europe, but Tuesday represents an opportunity for Spurs to prove themselves on the European stage.

Their win over West Ham saw several players, who aren’t always in the starting eleven, play starring roles, so here are THREE Spurs players that should be given a chance against Monaco on Tuesday…
