Pochettino should give these 3 Tottenham players a chance against Hull City

With Mousa Dembele hauled off after 67 minutes against United with injury, it could open the door for Eric Dier to return to the defensive midfield position.

The England international has been in the side in recent weeks as a replacement for Toby Alderweireld in central defence, but the Belgian’s return relegated Dier to the bench against United.

However, Dembele’s injury could see him make an immediate return to the side, and perhaps plays in his most natural position for only the sixth time this season.

The 22-year-old has been excellent in the defensive midfield role for both club and country in the last 12 months and, if Pochettino feels that he needs two of those players in his side on Wednesday, then Dier could come into the starting line-up.
