Ever since the enigmatic Frenchman returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2016, it seems that Paul Pogba has been continuously linked with a move away from the club.

Having left United for Juventus in 2012, the Red Devils eventually ended up forking out almost £90 million to re sign the midfielder four years later, a move that raised more than a few eyebrows.

Since then, the 28-year-old has been relentlessly linked with a move away, with his future a constant source of speculation and rumour.

Having reportedly been unhappy in recent seasons, speculation has cooled slightly in the past 12 months, and the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo over the summer has also allegedly encouraged Pogba to stay put in Manchester.

Now, however, the French international has been talking about his former side, and his comments may worry United fans.

Speaking while on international duty with the world champions, Pogba revealed that he is still in contact with some of his former teammates.

Pogba has been discussing his domestic future while on international duty with France

“I always speak to my former Juventus teammates, like Paolo (Dybala),” he said.

“Im in Manchester, I’ve still got a contract there for a year and then we will see.

“I want to finish well there in Manchester, then we will see what happens.”

The comments may unsettle United fans, who had been encouraged by reports that United’s transfer business had persuaded Pogba to stay.

The midfielder has been in sensational form this season, registering seven assists in his first six matches.

In recent seasons, Pogba has been criticised for both his attitude and his lack of consistency, but his performances so far this season have proved his worth and will undoubtedly have attracted potential suitors.
