After inconsistency crept into Portsmouth’s form prior to the six-pointer with Plymouth last weekend, fans didn’t know what to expect as the Blues took on top-of-the-table last Saturday.

In a fixture that held so much importance at the end of last season, with the two sides coming up against each other in the League Two play-off semi-final, Paul Cook’s men conceded in the dying moments to send Argyle to Wembley.

An 89th minute equaliser from substitute Connor Smith was not quite enough to ensure that history repeated itself but the manner in which it was scored served a somewhat bitter memory to the away fans that had travelled in their numbers.

However, the Fratton Faithful took plenty of positives from gaining an away point in what was arguably the toughest game of the season, yet some still felt as though the Blues should have come away with more.

A look at twitter reveals the mixed emotions felt at the final whistle, some happy with the draw, others hungrier for a win.

One fan even added a hint of sarcasm after Plymouth posted an over-excited tweet about topping the table last month.
