Bury starlet Matty Foulds is reportedly being tipped to complete a move to a Premier League or Championship club.

The Shakers teenager is one of the Football League’s most exciting young talents, sparking interest from the likes of Aston Villa, Derby County and Everton.

The 17-year-old, who primarily features at centre-half, is yet to make his league debut for the League One outfit, but he shone against Premier League opposition Leicester City in the League Cup back in August.

Manager David Flitcroft left Foulds out of the Bury squad to face Morecambe in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy second round clash on Tuesday after receiving several offers for the youngster.

“I’m protecting Matty, we’ve got some very good bids in for him now,” admitted Flitcroft.

“It’s been bubbling along for a week now and some fantastic football clubs want his services.”
