Liverpool face leaders Manchester United at Anfield aiming to reclaim top spot from their great rivals.

The Red Devils moved to the top of the table after extending their unbeaten league run to 11 matches with a 1-0 win at Burnley on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had been in the driving seat at the summit but two draws and a defeat in their last three matches has resulted in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side moving three points clear.

The focus of the world will now be on Merseyside on Sunday afternoon where a forward from each side could decide where a big three points is won.

In the home corner, Sadio Mane is part of Liverpool’s superstar front-three also including Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

Mane has been sensational since joining from Southampton in 2016.

The Senegal international will be a little disappointed with his return of just six Premier League goals so far this term but he did net in the last home match against West Brom.

Reds fans will also be hoping that Mane can improve his individual record against United having notched only one goal against Sunday’s opponents which came in a 3-1 win back in the 2018/19 season.

In the away corner, Marcus Rashford is likely to line up in Mane’s position on the left side of a three-man attack.

Again, the England international would like to have had more than the seven top-flight goals he has to his name this term.

Rashford is a key player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, the 23-year-old, who hasn’t netted in his last four appearances, has a decent record against Liverpool with three goals in six Premier League matches, including one in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last term.

So which forward will turn up for their team in what promises to be a ‘Super Sunday’ at Anfield..?

You can make your own mind up but, to help you do that, here’s how Mane and Rashford have performed in the 2020/21 Premier League season so far…
