Premier League leaders eye cut-price deal for France international midfielder

Leicester City are reportedly interested in snapping up France international Clement Chantome, according to voetbalkrant.com.

The surprise Premier League leaders, who convincingly defeated Stoke City 3-0 last weekend, have joined Belgian giants Anderlecht in the race to sign the Bordeaux defensive midfielder before the close of the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old, who has earned one international cap for his country back in October 2012, has scored one goal in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

Chantome, who is into the final six months of his current deal with the French club, could be available in a cut-price deal this month considering his contract situation.
