Manchester City made it five wins from five to start the Premier League season with a 4-0 thumping of AFC Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium.

A Raheem Sterling tap-in made it three after half-time, before Ilkay Gundogan completed the win. The only blemish on the day for City was Nolito’s sending off in the closing stages, but they sit top of the table with a 100 per cent record, meanwhile the Cherries suffered a third defeat of the season and lie 17th in the league table.

Theo Walcott did manage to double the lead however after the interval, but the home side pulled one back with ten minutes left from the penalty spot through Robert Snodgrass. Sanchez then grabbed his second four minutes later to put things beyond doubt, before Granit Xhaka scored a thunderbolt in stoppage time. Arsenal have made it three successive wins, whilst Hull are now winless in their last three.

Tottenham moved up to fourth with a hard fought 1-0 win over Sunderland at White Hart Lane. Spurs move onto 11 points and remain unbeaten so far this term, whilst the Black Cats remain winless under new manager David Moyes.
