Super Sunday serves up a tantalising tie as Premier League joint-leaders and defending champions Manchester City visit title contenders Liverpool at Anfield (16:30).

The Reds, who are locked on 19 points with Pep Guardiola’s side at the top of the English top-flight standings, will be looking to bounce back from their late 1-0 defeat at Napoli in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Meanwhile The Citizens, who have won their last four league games on the trot and fought past Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim 2-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday night, can move at least two points clear at the top of the table with victory on Sunday, with third-placed Chelsea facing Southampton that afternoon too (14:15).

For the hosts, winger Sadio Mané has stolen team mate Mohamed Salah’s limelight so far this term, becoming Liverpool’s top goalscorer in the Premier League with four strikes to his name.

Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling celebrates scoring against Newcastle United.

And for the visitors, fellow forward Raheem Sterling is enjoying another fruitful spell in front of goal, also finding the back of the net four times in the top-flight, behind only striker Sergio Agüero (5) at the Etihad Stadium.

So, with both in-form forwards set to go head-to-head on Super Sunday, here is how Liverpool and Manchester City’s top goalscorers Mané and Sterling match up so far this season…
