Arsenal could move level on points with fourth placed Manchester City in the Premier League on Monday night when they take on already relegated Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium (19:45).

The Gunners, who thrashed Stoke City 4-1 at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday to secure their third straight top-flight victory, are determined to finish in the top four in a bid to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Meanwhile The Black Cats, who will begin preparing for the Championship soon after Sunday’s Premier League finale, lost 2-0 at home to Swansea City at the weekend and remain rock-bottom in the standings.

For the hosts, manager Arsene Wenger is sweating over the fitness of star forward Alexis Sanchez, who came off against The Potters with a thigh problem, having netted 26 goals in all competitions this season.

As for the visitors, striker Jermain Defoe is still banging in the goals, despite suffering demotion this term.

So, with both key men set to go head-to-head on Tuesday night, here is how Sanchez and Defoe match up so far this campaign…
