Tottenham Hotspur will continue their pursuit of a top four spot in the Premier League when they face Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.

Ange Postecoglou’s side started the season superbly and topped the table after ten matches, but a dip in form saw them drop out of the top four and has threatened their chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

At present, Spurs sit three points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa, but do boast a game-in-hand over the Villans.

Postecoglou will expect to see his side emerge victorious over the Hatters, who sit 17th in the top flight table and are at serious risk of relegation to the Championship.

While the Lilywhites face a crucial period on the pitch, it appears that those in charge of recruitment are also busy off it.

According to Football Insider, the North London club are keen to sign Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.

Gibbs-White has attracted interest from Tottenham

The report claims that the attacker is one of Tottenham’s priorities for the upcoming window, along with a new striker.

The Englishman has been in fine form for Wolves this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 28 Premier League games.

Gibbs-White, 24, joined Forest from Wolves in the summer of 2022, having impressed while on loan at Sheffield United.

He will likely play a crucial role for Nuno Esperito Santo’s side in the closing weeks of the season, as they battle bravely against the drop.

Forest were deducted four points last week for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, and the report suggests that they could be forced to sell key players if they are relegated.

With that in mind, Spurs are hoping to land the Englishman in a cut-price deal this summer.

The report also claims that the Lilywhites are monitoring Brentford star Ivan Toney as they search for a new striker.
