Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has a list of six targets ahead of this summer’s transfer window, and Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn features on it.

As per The Telegraph, the Scot is among a shortlist of players that Conte is targeting this summer.

The Spurs boss is looking for players in a number of positions, but is particularly keen on recruiting at least one central midfielder.

The Italian looks to have guided the Lilywhites back into the Champions League this season, and is therefore intent on bolstering his squad ahead of what promises to be a relentless campaign.

Villa man McGinn has established himself as one of the best midfielders outside of the Premier League’s ‘top six’ of late, and has been linked with a move away from Villa Park in recent months.

McGinn is wanted by a number of clubs including Spurs

Tottenham loaned Tanguy Ndombele to former club Lyon in January and, although the French club won’t look to make his move permanent, it is believed that the Frenchman will be moved on when he returns to the capital.

McGinn, 27, has three years remaining on his current Villans deal, but Spurs may try to test the water with an offer for the Scotland international this summer.

Spurs’ squad could look very different next season, with a number of players being linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

On-loan duo Dejan Kulusevski and Cristian Romero both look set to make their stays in north London permanent, and the Lilywhites have also been linked with Juventus forward Paolo Dybala, who will be out of contract at the end of this season.

McGinn moved south of the border from Scottish side Hibernian in 2018, and has since made 145 appearances for Villa.
