Everton will draw level on points with their opponents with a victory at Goodison Park on Saturday as the hosts seek to continue a five-match unbeaten run.

The Toffees will welcome back influential duo John Stones and Seamus Coleman to their back four, but this game comes too early for the returns of Leighton Baines, Tom Cleverley and Steven Pienaar.

Ross Barkley impressed for England over the international break and will take his place behind Romelu Lukaku for Roberto Martinez’s side, who have won their last three games against United at Goodison Park without conceding a goal.

The visitors have had a fortnight to recover from being blitzed by Arsenal at the Emirates, where three goals in the opening 20 minutes sealed their fate against the Gunners.

United have several injury doubts for their trip to Merseyside, including Michael Carrick, Wayne Rooney, Ander Herrera and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Anthony Martial collected September’s Premier League Player of the Month award in the build-up to this weekend’s match; the Frenchman is responsible for a quarter of United’s goals this season despite only joining on deadline day.
