High-flying West Ham will be looking to take advantage of a struggling Chelsea when the two teams meet in a London derby at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday.
The Hammers have started the season in imperious form, especially on their travels, and they won 3-1 at 10-man Crystal Palace last weekend.
Slaven Bilic will be keen for his side to improve their form in East London though; the Irons have picked up just four of their 17 points this term at home.
However, they will have to do it without centre-back Winston Reid, who has a back problem, while Victor Moses is ineligible as part of the loan agreement from the champions.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho’s men picked up a disappointing eight points from their opening eight Premier League matches, but things have improved within the last week after they beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, before picking up a goalless draw at Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League during the week.
The Portuguese boss will be hoping the Blues have turned a corner now, and keeping two clean sheets in a row will certainly have helped their confidence; the usually solid side have conceded an incredible 17 goals in just nine games in the English top-flight.
The visitors will be without Branislav Ivanovic, Pedro and Loic Remy, while it is unclear whether Eden Hazard will return to the starting line-up after he was rested against Villa last time out.
