Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who currently sit third in the English top-flight standings after defeating Swansea City 2-1 on Sunday, have been linked with offloading the Argentina international following the impressive arrival of fellow forward Gabriel Jesus.

The 28-year-old, who has 80 international caps for his country, has scored 18 goals and provided one assist in 26 appearances in all competitions for The Sky Blues so far this season.

Aguero, who arrived at the Etihad Stadium back in July 2011 following his move from La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid, was benched for City’s 2-1 win over The Swans at the weekend, with Jesus taking centre stage for Pep Guardiola’s men.

The report suggests defending Ligue 1 champions PSG are exploring the possibility of luring the Argentine to the French capital this summer, despite having scored 154 goals in just 234 games for Manchester City overall.
