Queens Park Rangers are reportedly exploring the possibility of re-signing England international striker Peter Crouch.

The Championship outfit, who drew 2-2 with joint-leaders Brighton and Hove Albion earlier in midweek, are eyeing a move for the Stoke City forward as a potential replacement for prized asset Charlie Austin.

The 34-year-old, who earned 42 international caps for the Three Lions, has managed to score just one goal in six appearances in all competitions for the Potters so far this season.

After QPR’s star striker Austin scored twice in the thrilling stalemate against Brighton on Tuesday night; new Hoops boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is concerned Premier League suitors will launch a bidding war for their top goalscorer in the January transfer window, despite him personally announcing he’ll be staying at Loftus Road until at least the summer.
