Pedro Caixinha’s honeymoon period at Rangers is in danger of being one of the shortest in managerial history as the manager has already seen fans, ex-players and pundits question both his appointment and his decisions.

His cause wasn’t helped by a drab 0-0 draw away at Kilmarnock which makes the Gers chances of finishing all the more difficult as Aberdeen enjoy a run of four successive wins while Rangers have managed just one win in four.

It’s obvious the manager needs time and much of the end of this season will no doubt be used by Caixinha to assess his squad and prepare for next season with a view to preventing Celtic from making it seven successive titles.

Rangers face Aberdeen on Sunday and Caixinha urged his team to grab victory and keep their hopes of reaching second spot alive.

The new boss could do with lifting moral around Ibrox as Rangers fans took to social media last night to vent their frustrations at the recent draw and the manager’s post match comments where he said he was happy with most of his players and called for extra anger:
