Rangers have opened talks to sign Graham Dorrans.

According to Sky Sports News the Norwich midfielder is wanted by Pedro Caixinha as he attempts to put his own stamp on the squad that he inherited from Mark Warburton.

After failing to win promotion at the first time of asking Norwich are looking to cut their costs with Dorrans one of the players that they are looking to move off the wage bill.

Rangers wouldn’t be able to get close to the Premier League deal that the 30-year-old is currently on but are hoping to find a compromise with Norwich.

Key to any deal being completed will be the player who has indicated that he is keen to return to Scotland after nine years south of the border.

Norwich are likely to get offers from other Championship clubs for the midfielder but with two years still to run on his Carrow Road deal the player could sit it out if he doesn’t get his way.
