Rangers are reportedly keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur starlet Harry Winks on loan in the summer, according to the Daily Record.

The England Under-20 international has been a long-term target for Gers boss Mark Warburton, and the former Brentford manager is confident he will secure a season-long loan deal for the midfielder at the end of the campaign as his side close in on a return to the Scottish Premiership.

Winks has made two first-team appearances for Spurs this term, both in the Europa League, against Qarabag and Fiorentina respectively, and the north London club now want him to get regular game time elsewhere.

That news has alerted Warburton, who has already had two other Tottenham academy graduates, Dominic Ball and Nathan Oduwa, spending time at Ibrox this season, and he is keen to bring the 20-year-old north of the border.

Rangers are currently 11 points clear of second-placed Falkirk at the top of the Scottish Championship.
