Real Madrid are reportedly ready to splash out £60m on Belgium international Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to The Sun.
The La Liga giants, who currently lie ten points adrift of leaders FC Barcelona in the Spanish top-flight, are eager to recruit the Everton striker once the 2015/16 campaign has concluded.
The 22-year-old, who has 42 international caps and 11 goals for his country, has found the back of the net an astonishing 25 times in 37 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees so far this season.
Lukaku, who remains Everton’s club-record signing after arriving from defending Premier League champions Chelsea back in July 2014, is thought to be top of Madrid’s summer wish list after a breathtaking term in English football.
The report understands that the Spanish outfit’s scouts have watched the hitman at Goodison Park at least five times throughout this season.
Lukaku has scored 61 goals in 118 appearances for the club since originally arriving on loan back in the summer of 2013.
