Manchester City will hope to build on their 8-0 win over Salford City when they face Brentford on Tuesday night.

The Citizens cruised through to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a convincing win over nearby Salford on Saturday, setting up a tie against either Leyton Orient or Derby County in the next round.

City’s Premier League form has also picked up in recent weeks, with Pep Guardiola’s side winning their past two games in the competition having won just one of their previous nine.

It appears, though, that the improved form of one player in particular has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

According to CaughtOffside, both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have scouted City winger Savio in recent weeks.

The report claims that the two European heavyweights watched the Brazilian in action during City’s victories over both Leicester City and West Ham United.

Real Madrid were said to be impressed by the 20-year-old’s performances, and the Spanish outfit are now set to make a shock move to sign the player this month.

Save only joined City last summer, signing from French side Troyes having impressed while on loan at Spanish outfit Girona.

He had registered a combined 21 goals and assists in 41 matches for Girona across all competitions, helping the Spanish side to qualify for the Champions League for the first time ever.

Since moving to England, the winger has scored once and provided eight assists in 26 games for City across all competitions.

He is contracted to the club until 2029 having signed a long-term contract with the club last year, and the report claims that City are not willing to even entertain the idea of selling the winger during the current transfer window.
