Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Spain international striker Alvaro Morata this summer, according to the Telegraph.

The Premier League side, who finished sixth in the English top-flight this term, but qualified for the UEFA Champions League after winning the UEFA Europa League final against Ajax last month, have been continually linked with a mega money move for the out-of-favour Real Madrid forward.

The 24-year-old, who has 20 international caps for his country, scored 20 goals and provided six assists in 43 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga champions this season.

However Morata, who returned to the Bernabeu only last summer from Serie A giants Juventus, made only 14 league starts under manager Zinedine Zidane and is said to want out of the Spanish club ahead of the 2017-18 term.

The report suggests the hitman has agreed a deal to join The Red Devils, but is waiting for both clubs to negotiate the transfer fee.

On Friday, United released 2016-17 top goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whilst captain Wayne Rooney is set to follow suit this summer, meaning manager Jose Mourinho needs to strengthen his strikeforce significantly.
