Chelsea have reportedly emerged as favourites to land Spain international ace Isco, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Premier League side, who have established a nine-point lead at the top of the standings after defeating Arsenal 3-1 on Saturday, are among a quartet of English sides battling it out for the out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder’s signature.
The 24-year-old, who has 17 international caps for his country, has scored four goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants so far this season.
However Isco, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in June 2013 following his move from Spanish rivals Malaga, is also attracting interest from fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Having started just nine league games under Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane this term, Isco is facing an uncertain future, with the club set to cash in on the Spaniard, despite having a contract until June 2018.
Amid the Premier League quartet’s interest, the report suggests that the midfielder “admires” Chelsea, putting Blues boss Antonio Conte in the driving seat ahead of the summer transfer window.
