Off the back of another historic Champions League win, Premier League champions, Leicester City were back in Premier League action on Sunday as they hosted an in form Southampton side who, going into the game were undefeated in five games across all competitions.

Despite a mammoth trip to Israel in the Europa League on Thursday the visitors showed no signs of tiring as they took control of the game for large spells, and although they could not break the deadlock, a point away at the champions is not to be scoffed at.

A sixth clean sheet on the bounce for the South Coast side should be enough to keep the travelling fans happy for their trip back down to Hampshire, whilst there will be questions to ask in the home end with their side without a win in two league games.

A point keeps the Saints in the top half and with European football and EFL Cup action still to come before Christmas, the point at the King Power could prove crucial come the turn of the year.

So, another title looks a long way away for the Foxes but the Saints keep defying their doubters, here are FIVE things we learned from Leicester v Southampton…
