Everton have signalled their interest in England international defender Michael Keane, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.
The Premier League side, who currently sit seventh in the English top-flight standings after winning their last three league outings in a row, have been heavily linked with a last-gasp deadline day deal for Burnley’s centre-half.
The 24-year-old, who was called up to the senior Three Lions squad for the first time back in October 2016, has scored one goal in 25 appearances in all competitions for the newly promoted Clarets so far this season.
Keane, who came through the youth ranks at Premier League giants Manchester United, is on Toffees boss Ronald Koeman’s transfer wishlist after speaking to the media ahead of tonight’s 23:00 deadline.
“Yes, he is one of that list, like some more defenders,” he said.
“But I heard he is on more lists, in different teams.”
Keane has netted six times in 94 games overall for Burnley, helping Sean Dyche’s side lift the Championship title last term.
