After just six games in charge of Manchester United, Ralf Rangnick is already feeling the pressure after an uninspiring start to his tenure.

The German has begun his reign with three wins, two draws and a defeat to Wolves, although two of his victories came against relegation-threatened Norwich City and Burnley.

The former RB Leipzig boss was touted as the ‘master of the gegenpress’ in the build up to his arrival in Manchester, but he has so far failed to impress in his opening month in English football.

Rumours have circulated of unrest behind the scenes at the club, with senior players such as Paul Pogba, Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes all said to be unhappy with the current situation at the club.

Now, however, it appears that another of United’s star is disgruntled, and could leave if Rangnick’s successor doesn’t meet his standards.

Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United is in doubt

As per The Daily Star, Ronaldo is already considering his future, and could decide to leave if Rangnick’s successor isn’t someone he admires.

The former RB Leipzig manager is in charge of United on an interim basis until the end of the season, and he will be involved in choosing who takes over from him.

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is currently the favourite to take up the role, having spoken of his admiration for the club.

The Paris Saint-Germain manager is yet to be ruled out, while Zinedine Zidane has ruled himself out of the running.

Other candidates believed to be being considered are Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag and Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers.

Ronaldo made a sensational return to the Red Devils over the summer, 12 years after leaving the club, but it appears that his second stint with the club could be much more short-lived.
