Wycombe went top of the league after Gary Thompson scored his first two goals for the club, as they beat Barnet 2-0 away from home.

Carlisle and Cambridge played out a fantastic 4-4 draw at Brunton Park. Jabo Ibehre’s hat-trick was not enough to earn three points for the Cumbrians in a crazy game. Charlie Wyke got the other for Carlisle, whilst George Taft, Luke Berry and Barry Corr, who scored a brace, were on target for Cambridge.

Leyton Orient won comfortably away from home after beating Dagenham 3-1, with goals from Paul McCallum, Lloyd James and Dean Cox sealing the win, before Jamie Cureton pulled one back for the hosts.

Jason Taylor, Ryan Cresswell and Marc Richards each got on the scoresheet as Northampton won 3-0 at home to Exeter.

There were home losses this week for Notts County who lost 2-0 to Mansfield, Plymouth, who slumped to a 2-1 loss to Portsmouth, and Yeovil, who were defeated 1-0 by Bristol Rovers.

Luton wasted a 2-0 lead to draw with Oxford, with both teams getting two goals each.

Meanwhile, Newport drew 2-2 with Stevenage, York lost to Hartlepool 2-1, Morecambe won 1-0 against Accrington, and Crawley went down 2-1 at home to Wimbledon.
