Manchester United have reportedly switched their attentions to signing Russia striker Aleksandr Kokorin.

After seemingly missing out on FC Barcelona winger Pedro due to Chelsea’s last-ditch move yesterday, before being told Southampton forward Sadio Mane was not for sale, the Red Devils have now set their sights on tying up a deal for the Dynamo Moscow hitman.

The 24-year-old, who has 32 international caps, scored ten goals in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Premier Liga outfit last season.

United boss Louis van Gaal is desperate to bolster his attacking options before the close of the transfer window after scoring just two Premier League goals in their opening two games – one being an own goal.
