Southampton are leading the race for Young Boys midfielder Yoric Ravet.
According to a report on TalkSPORT they 27-year-old has attracted the attention of Saints scouts looking to add options to Claude Puel’s side.
A bid in the region of £6m should be good enough to bring the Frenchman to English football with Ravet notching six goals so far this season.
With the transfer focus all on Virgil van Dijk and Jose Fonte Puel is anxious to ensure that there are also players coming in.
Regardless of the size of the offers put their way Saints will hold onto van Dijk with that stance sending out a message to players on their way to the club.
While the Dutchman will eventually be sold Southampton will dictate the time and terms of the sale with the summer window giving ample time to draft in replacements with Ravet in the advance guard arriving in January.
