Sam Allardyce would love to bring Mamadou Sakho to Crystal Palace on a permanent basis.

According to a report in The Express, Palace will open talks with Liverpool about a deal as soon as their place in net season’s Premier League is confirmed.

Unfortunately for Palace Sakho’s outstanding form since arriving on loan at Selhurst Park in January has sent his value soaring.

Although Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that the defender has no future at Anfield he is believed to be looking at a fee of £30m to sell Sakho.

West Brom and Southampton are believed to be interested in the defender but Liverpool may struggle to get a fee of £30m for a player with less than a dozen appearances to his name this season.

Sakho’s introduction to the Palace side coincided with the team going on an outstanding winning run that has taken them six points ahead of third bottom Swansea with just three matches left to play.
