Scotland face world champions Germany at Hampden Park as they look to bounce back from a disappointing 1-0 defeat in Georgia on Friday.
The loss in Tbilisi leaves Gordon Strachan’s side in fourth place in Group D, three points behind Poland in the last automatic qualification spot and one behind Republic of Ireland, who occupy a play-off place.
After a stuttering start, Germany sit top of of the pile after winning their last four games, including a 3-1 win over Poland on Friday.
In the first fixture between the two,the Tartan Army fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat in Dortmund thanks to a Thomas Muller brace.
The Scots haven’t tasted victory against the Germans since 1999; Don Hutchison giving them a memorable 1-0 victory in Bremen.
Ahead of kick-off, Strachan has said he will freshen things up for the visit of Joachim Low’s side but Steven Fletcher is expected to start like he did against Georgia.
For Low, Emre Can should start in midfield again after impressing on his debut against Poland, while Muller will be aiming to add to the two he scored 12 months ago.
