After a difficult title defence in the 2020/21 season, Jurgen Klopp will be delighted with how his Liverpool side are performing this term.

The Reds remain unbeaten in all competitions and are the Premier League’s leading scorers having hit the back of the net 29 times in just 10 matches.

Mohamed Salah looks to be in the form of his life, while the return of Virgil van Dijk, who missed most of last season with a knee injury, has had the positive impact many expected.

Despite having almost a fully fit squad (except Harvey Elliott) available, it’s reported that Liverpool have their eye on adding to their ranks in the near future.

According to Goal in Italy, the Reds are claimed to be interested in Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The 21-year-old has been impressive for the Italian side, scoring 31 times since the beginning of the 2020/21 season.

Vlahovic has six goals in 12 caps for Serbia.

A Serbia international, Vlahovic has followed up his 21 goals last term with 10 in 12 already this, leaving him second in the Serie A scoring charts.

The report – which credits Liverpool with an interest – also states that Fiorentina have stuck a £68.7 million asking price on their star forward.

It’s suggested that the Florence side could look to sell Vlahovic as early as January as his contract expires in 2023 and he has yet to agree new terms.

If Liverpool were to shore up their ‘interest’ then it’s thought that they would have to battle Juventus, who currently lead the race, for the goalscorer’s signature.
